I've used guyker a few times. Build quality is great but some of the tolerances are off in gears. Curious to see how this new set fares.

Silicone wire is readily available these days but I'm still looking for some wire insulation that feels and glides like leather if anyone knows. The softness/flexibility is in between silicone and pvc. It was great for testing/prototyping because it retains its shape and glides across other wires easily. Silicone tends to grip itself.

Would of been great it you painted it first n then let it sit for a year! But still cool

Did you apply primer without sanding the sealer off? Isn't that a problem for primer adhesion?

A friend of mine was given onenof these 40 years ago . He wants to start using it in gigs, so I sorted out some wiring in the guitar for him. Im going to suggest an amp service. Interesting littke amp.

I have owned and played meny 70s fenders. One in particular was my close friends 75 telecaster deluxe, and Ive seen a 73 telecaster custome with the most amazing frets. They had wide flat crowns that just gave me a personal playing experience that was heavenly!They responded like they were grabbing the notes faster than other frets. Probablem is, nobody can give info, and most have no idea what im talking about. Your strat appears to have same said frets!If I could find the fret wire i would refret all my strats with them. I know current trends say flat wide crowns are bad. Mostly for intonation. Im here to tell you that if any intonation problems existed, i couldn't tell or care on the Telecaster Deluxe I grew up with.

Mark, that is a fantastic attitude. I believe Glarry have produced a quality product, it took a little time, the early models were sometimes a little rough around the frets. But now they are fantastic. I've got a pbass and a steat by them , purchased last year. Out the box, they were as good in fact better than many of the epiphone or squier that see straight out the box. My pbass is amazing, I love it. I did change out the nut for a tusq and the pu' recently for tonerider and added (cheap flats £16) but you know what, the difference in the pu' is at best slightly better. Go Glarry....in fact they have, because they've sold out in the UK. Great show Mark, you're an inspiration.

Yeah it’s a little janky, but in this day and age what we expect for quality would honestly be about $2500 not $300… So I’m not totally disappointed… In a lot of cases plastic is actually better than metal, it retains its dimensions and doesn’t corrode. higher end machined metal would drive the price up nearly 10 fold easily so… Seriously don’t think anyone would consider this thing if was approaching 3 grand… Is what it is… I thought it was aluminum too so I think they did some photoshopping on the ad pictures…

Mojo is real……I bought a 66 Strat from an old Blues player who had it appraised by a so call professional. They never pulled the neck, and just listed as a Frankinstrat….I bought it for 1200….everthing orig other than Custom Shop Pickups…my luthier buddy pulled the neck and said wow you hit the jackpot. Stamped as a Mar 66B neck….unreal..if I mentioned the name of the appraiser half ppl here would know him….anyway just an unreal guitar….

Wayne McPherson did a mod of this. Remove C1 and run it into a gain pot. Remove the blue variable resistor and add 2 caps, one for filtering to ground, one for increased line capacitance. Run input to volume knob then out to LM386 card.

This is the first time I've come to your channel. I don't know much about guitars, so maybe you could put printouts of accessories on your guitar? That way we can visualize the accessory more for those of us who are not too familiar with guitars. I've also seen a guitar 3d printed and assembled before on other channels, even the case was 3d printed! It would be awesome to see something similar on your channel! Anyway, thank you for your excellent video!

This is a brilliant technique. I'd also add that not only you're saving time and effort while preserving the original crowing of the fret wire, but you're also preserving as much height/meat as possible, which guarantee optimal playability by minimizing finger friction on the fingerboard. This is SO important, especially when playing leads. We want ''low action'', NOT low profile frets! Thanks for sharing your technique Mark! ♥

Hey Mark, This is my first time coming across your channel. I recently got a guitar and am learning. I have over 10 years experience with 3D printing and a background in aerospace engineering. In my experience all 3D printers are different. I would print a calibration cube to make sure it’s dimensionally accurate if you are printing off measuring tools. If you run into any problems with anything 3D printing let me know. I would be more than happy to help!

You could print a holder for digital gauge for measuring string height, and you could add an electric contact like the tool for setting the starting point in your CNC. That way you could have a complete overview of your fretboard and maybe find problems that you don't see with straight edge or other tiols.

It is super nice, i am realy inspired from your work ! There is the same technic on the Duofluctus instrument by Sergey Filatov. But after trying 6 models in an exhibition by Tarek Atoui. Maybe the Duofluctus was badly adjusted, but some didn't work, and some did. But on some models, it was very difficult to find the right point to make the string resonate. And the strings would untwist when you touched another one, but maybe it was badly installed. So for the time being, I'm going to make a model, a string and a motor.
